Latest TGA Approved COVID-19 Vaccinations
The Australian government approved several magazines in the last months of 2021. Please look at vaccines that make you eligible to return to Australia in 2022.
- Spikevax. (Moderna)
- Comirnaty. (Pfizer)
- Covishield. (AstraZeneca)
- Vaxzevria. (AstraZeneca)
- Coronavac. (Sinovac)
- Janssen-Cilag. (Johnson & Johnson)
- Covaxin. (Bharat Biotech)
- BBBIP-CorV. (Sinopharm) (for 18 to 60 years old)

- You need to have two vaccination doses to be considered fully vaccinated. Please note that there should be a two-week gap between each injection.
- You must be fully vaccinated at least a week before coming to Australia.

Queensland
As per the Student Arrivals Plan, you can make travel arrangements to Australia without needing an exemption due to the ease of border restrictions from 15 December 2021. Furthermore, you can travel directly to Queensland or from another Australian state. However, you need to follow these rules.
- You must complete the Australian Travel Declaration and Registration for Queensland International Arrivals.
- You need to show a negative corona report three days before arriving in Queensland.
- You need to submit vaccination proof.
- You need to be fully vaccinated.
New South Wales
As per the Student Arrivals Plan of this area, if you are an international student or a Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) Visa holder, you can return to New South Wales on the following terms.
- You need to show a negative PCR test taken three days before your arrival.
- You need to submit proof of vaccination.
- You are fully vaccinated under a TGA-approved vaccine.
- You will self-isolate after returning to this area for three days before getting a negative PCR result.
- You will need to get a PCR test done after arriving in NSW.
- You need to isolate yourself until you get a negative result. If you get a negative result on the first test, you don’t need to isolate for three days.
Victoria
As per the guidelines of Victoria, you can return to the state with a Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485). However, you must adhere to these rules.
- You must take a COVID-19 test before departure.
- You need to be fully vaccinated with a TGA-approved vaccine.
- You need to undergo a PCR test before arrival and from days 5-7 of arrival in Victoria.
Western Australia
The government of Western Australia announced on 05/2/2022 that all fully vaccinated local and overseas travelers could enter the area without quarantine restrictions.
ACT
You can return to the ACT region if you are a fully vaccinated international student with a TGA-approved vaccine at the start of the 2022 academic year. However, you need to follow all vaccination and testing requirements for international travelers set by the ACT government.
South Australia
You can return to South Australia without a travel exemption if you are fully vaccinated and hold a valid visa. However, you must fill out an Entry Check Application.
